This 9,000-square-foot facility will attract Houstonians from all over the city, offering sewing, craft, computer, soft goods manufacturing,  and small business classes, and hosting special events like pop-up markets,  parties, and gallery exhibitions. The Center will also feature micro retail spaces known as the Shops @ Connect HighStar where visitors can browse and buy goods and services from local small businesses.

Those who become the tenants of the micro retails spaces will receive the  benefit of small business coaching from experienced entrepreneurs, discounts on classes and events, and chances to expand their marketing reach. The aim is that entrepreneurs will be better equipped to scale their businesses by the end of their lease at the Shops @ Connect HighStar. 

Connect Community is looking for business owners who are collaborative, supportive, and committed to fostering the community’s success. Priority will be given to unique businesses that reflect the neighborhood’s diversity and offer valuable goods and services to both Gulfton residents and visitors from other parts of the city.
